{Birthday rainbow caught on an early morning coffee run}
I took a week off from almost everything to celebrate turning 33. It was a long respite from the year now known as the-one-that-sucked. 32 was hard. I ain't gonna lie. We lost two of our most loved ones, we had three months of failed pregnancy attempts {not the old fashioned kind, mind you}, R got cancer AGAIN, and we threw in a cross-country move just for good measure... it was also the first year that I hardly worked and the conclusion to that was - I do not like not working. SO, 33 is going to be great! {honestly, it doesn't have very big shoes to fill} I'm getting back into the swing of working and have big plans for the year ahead... including going back to school to learn a new trade. say what? that's right. This time next year, I'll be certified to cut your locks with the best of Chapel Hill. and I'm so excited! just think of all the cute outfits this will require. ; ) It's a new challenge and I welcome it with open arms into my life. And it was cause to celebrate, so this week was full of family and friends, scrumptious meals {my favorites were here with the fam and here for an impromptu brunch with my favorite 2 peeps}, and shopping... I amped it up for my birthday and set out to find a few amazing deals... getting a blue moon kinda deal is, in my opinion, the best kind of shopping! maybe you'll want to hear about them in another post? For now, it's back to work. Production is happening on new jewels... stay tuned for a sneak peek later today. cheers to 33, my friends.
